Construction Industry Council – Zero Carbon Building (CIC-ZCB) hosts the “Smart Art and Green Concert – Saving the Ocean” on 17 March and 18 March, a joint effort with the Environmental Protection Department and the Environmental Campaign Committee, in order to raise public awareness about low carbon living. Programmes include: Green Music Concert, Upcycling Workshops, Eco-Playground, Upcycling Game Booths and Eco-information Green Booths, Smart Cooking Demonstration and Food Tasting, Green Gadget Market and more, all of which promise to bring fun and, more importantly, to educate the public about green living, so that everyone can give a helping hand to protecting the ocean. Alongside music performances, game booths, workshops and upcycled amenities, ZCB also collaborates with organizations including the Environmental Protection Department, the Environment Campaign Committee, The Hong Kong Observatory and The Conservancy Association to provide interactive information booths that aim to educate the public about environmental protection. Talented apprentice from Construction Industry Council will hold the Carpentry and Joinery Workshop teaching participants how to create handicrafts with used wood.
