Technical Visit to Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Plant at Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital
Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital is the first hospital in Hong Kong to adopt an environmentally friendly system, where landfill gases are utilized to fuel the combined heat and power (CHP) system to generate electricity and supply steam and hot water for various hospital facilities. Not only electricity costs for the hospital are saved, the system also helps reducing carbon emission effectively. The technical visit organized by HKIE will allow participants to learn about the smart usage of the CHP system, the benefits of distributed energy system and social engagement on sustainability.
