Technical Seminar: Polar Research in Hong Kong, Hong Kong Researchers in the higher Arctic
With the establishment of the Polar Research Institute of Hong Kong (PRIHK), local scientists and engineers are able to have a convenient platform conducting their research and development projects relevant to polar phenomena and global climate changes. The "Bauhinia Station", which is located in Longyearbyen of Norwegian Svalbard Isles, has been established since September 2018 and equipped with fundamental facilities for physical, biological and environmental research. The seminar will allow participants to learn details about the Research Institute, as well as the visit sharing by Prof. K.C. Ho and his team on the research and development opportunities on town planning, housing, new and renewable energies, etc.
