Launch of ‘Responsible Consumption and Waste Reduction Exhibition’ at The Hong Kong Jockey Club Green Gallery
Waste is a serious problem in Hong Kong. Over 5.7 million tonnes of wastes are generated every year in Hong Kong, of which almost 70% ends up in landfills. If everyone in the world lived the lifestyle Hong Kong people lead, we would need more than four planets as large as the Earth to supply us with the necessary resources.

What can we do to achieve sustainable management of natural resources? How can we minimize the adverse impacts of wastes on the environment? ‘Responsible Consumption and Waste Reduction Exhibition’ will be launched at The Hong Kong Jockey Club Green Gallery of the Jockey Club Museum of Climate Change. The exhibition, with the aid of multimedia interactive exhibits, is designed to illuminate the concept of responsible consumption and production, and to inspire visitors to live a green lifestyle.
